Being the guy with Headphones!

Last summer, I went through a peculiar situation, My flatmate went home to India for the summer, the place where I was doing internship was almost empty because everyone else was on vacation; and I had to travel almost two hours every day, watching the fellow Stockholmers engrossed in their smartphones to get there. Basically, I had things to do, but no-one to talk to, so yeah, I was bored. In this boredom, as usual, music came to my rescue. During this time, I was mostly spending my free time with my audiophile friend Rohit, who convinced me that since I’m listening to music all the time, I must buy some good expensive headphones. After that, we spent almost a month trying out different headphones. After a certain point in time, we had to change the store where we used to go because all of the salespeople know those two guys who would come and try all the headphones over and over! Anyway, finally I ended up buying one of the Sony headphones, and in the months following that, I discovered how a good pair of headphones can transform your choice of music. I have always been a passive listener of music, and here’s the thing with passive listeners, they’re comfortable with music around them during all the times. But, it need not be same all the time, so I tried to use Spotify playlists to sort music according to moods.

And as they say, Sharing is caring, I’ll share my continuously evolving playlists as music recommendations for everyone out there.

The usual Commute – Work – Study playlists

These three are my most updated playlists, the first one Sailing in Skies has all the modern pop-rock-rap songs, you’ll find artists as poetic as Bob Dylan to as nonsense as (let’s not insult anyone), but yeah You’ll find songs for all moods. Flying Underwateron the other hand, is an ultimate lyricless playlist, which I usually play when I am working and need some ambient music. Black and Whiteas the name indicates is full of Piano music, nothing better than Piano to help you stay calm and concentrate.

The Favourites

I don’t follow a lot of bands but there are two band’s that I’m really fond of. One would be obvious, Coldplay. Other, not so obvious (quite obvious to all my friends though), City of the Sun. I have separate playlists for them too.

You must surely try   City of the Sun, the music fit’s all the moods and situations!

Friend’s recommendations

You always have some friends, whom you think have a similar or rather better taste than you in Music, I’m sharing a bunch of such playlists from my friends too 😉

Here’s another, veryyy long playlist with music from multiple eras in multiple languages by my another friend – 4 In The Morning  By Anna Wisakanto.

If you like my choice of music, feel free to follow these playlists if you have some recommendations feel free to share them. If you don’t like my choice of music, stick to your old playlists 😉
